Everything that needs doing, on the first screen

Each part of the business has its own tile. A banner at the top flags anything overdue, like machines nobody has checked yet today, so problems get seen before they become audit findings.

  • Tiles for orders, production, deliveries, holidays, timesheets, stock and more
  • One login covers Fender Steel and BCS Products
  • Search across orders, customers, stock and assets
Sales orders
Orders

Every order, from draft to delivered

Orders move through clear stages: draft, ready for production, in production, ready for delivery, out for delivery, delivered and completed. The counts at the top show where the work is piling up.

  • Filter by stage and by depot
  • Weight, value and delivery date on every row
  • Customers over their credit limit are flagged
  • Export the list in one click
Order FS-27-05301
Bending schedules

BS 8666 schedules built into every order

Cut and bent work is entered as a proper BS 8666 schedule: bar marks, bar type, shape codes, dimensions and number of bars. The system works out the weight for each mark and each diameter.

  • Each bar mark is ticked off when it has been checked
  • Print tallies and delivery notes straight from the order
  • Order checklist and a full history of who did what
Deliveries · October 2026
Deliveries

The delivery board, on screen

Orders that are ready wait in a queue until someone picks a day and a driver and puts them on the board. The calendar shows each load with its tonnage, postcode and driver, and flags anything that needs a hiab.

  • Day, week and month views for both depots
  • Colour-coded loads, just like the board in the yard
  • MOTs, LOLER exams and inspections on the same calendar
Management
Management

The whole business at a glance

Tonnes produced and delivered, fuel used, orders taken, hours worked and morning checks done, for the month so far and month by month. Every chart can be opened to see the figures behind it.

  • Steel produced by company and by bar diameter
  • Who is off this week and which inspections are due
  • Stock value and unpaid customer accounts

More from the yard

Stock, safety checks and timesheets all live in the same system.

StockLight gauge coils and heavy gauge bundles, each traceable by cast number for CARES.
ChecksMorning pre-use checks on machines, lorries and pickups. Faults stay open until someone marks them fixed.
TimesheetsStart, finish and breaks for each day, with the week's hours added up automatically.
On the move

Works on a phone in the yard

Staff sign themselves up and add FenderBCS to their home screen like an app. Drivers and yard staff run checks and update orders from their phone; the office gets the full desktop view.

Built-in helpStaff can ask how to do something, like "How do I log fuel?", and get step-by-step directions.

How it's built

Every feature starts as a written spec covering the screens, the rules and the edge cases, which gets signed off before any code is written.

Built for audits

Compliance records such as checks and non-conformances can't be edited after they're saved, and every change is recorded against the person who made it.

Coming next

  • Counting bars from a photo of a bundle end
  • Scanning paperwork into the system
  • Welding records for CARES
  • Linking orders to the accounts system

Screens show the system loaded with sample data.

Second business

BCS Products

BCS Products and BS Supplies sell fence post steel for concrete fence posts and gravel boards. They run on the same system as Fender Steel, with their own branding, their own stock and the screens their work actually needs.
